Tags are useful for classifying and organizing resources and resource groups. Every tag must have a ‘Key’ and a ‘Value’.
Note:
Tags for resource groups must be created, edited or deleted on the ‘Manage Resource Groups’ page. Tags for resources must created, edited or deleted on the ‘Manage Resources’ page.

Create a New Tag
1) Log in to the Customer Control Panel (CCP)
2) Select the Azure subscription
3) On the ‘Azure’ page, click the MANAGE > Manage Resources or MANAGE > Manage Resource Groups option on the ‘Infrastructure’ tile.
4) On the ‘Manage Resources’/’Manage Resource Groups’ page, select resource(s) or resource group(s) by ticking corresponding check boxes and click on the EDIT TAGS button.
Note: If you make multiple selections the newly created tag will be applied to all the selected resources or resource groups.
5) In the pop-up window:
- enter ‘Key’ and ‘Value’
- Click the Save button to finish creating tag(s).
8) You will see on the ‘Manage Resources’ page or ‘Manage Resource Groups’ page that the new tags are now assigned next to the resource(s) or resource group(s)
Edit a Tag
IMPORTANT! Tags need to be individually edited. If you want a tag that is assigned to multiple resources to be modified across all resources/resource groups you will need to edit each tag.
1) Log in to the Customer Control Panel (CCP)
2) Select the Azure subscription.
3) On the ‘Azure’ page, click the MANAGE > Manage Resources or MANAGE > Manage Resource Groups option on the ‘Infrastructure’ tile
4) On the ‘Manage Resources’/’Manage Resource Groups’ page, select a tag by ticking the corresponding check box of a resource or resource group that has been assigned the tag. Click on the EDIT TAGS button.
5) In the pop-up window, make the required changes to the tag’s ‘Key’ and ‘Value’ fields and then click the Save button
6) You will receive a notification when the changes have been completed
Delete a Tag
IMPORTANT! Tags need to be individually deleted. If you want a tag that is assigned to multiple resources to be deleted across all resources/resource groups you will need to edit each tag.
1) Log in to the Customer Control Panel (CCP)
2) Select the Azure subscription.
3) On the ‘Azure’ page, click the MANAGE > Manage Resources or MANAGE > Manage Resource Groups option on the ‘Infrastructure’ tile
4) On the ‘Manage Resources’/’Manage Resource Groups’ page, select a tag by ticking the corresponding check box of a resource or resource group that has been assigned the tag you want to delete. Click the Edit Tags button
6) In the pop-up window, click the button corresponding to the tags you want to delete.
7) Click the Save button.
You will receive a notification when the changes have been completed
