Step 1: Create & Download the RDE Report

  1. Refer to the article: Reporting and Data Export (RDE) and follow the steps defined in the section: How to create a report.
  2. Once the report has been generated you can download to view it. 

Step 2: Filter AWS Costs

  1. Once the report is downloaded, open it using Microsoft Excel.
  2. You have to create a Pivot Table for easily viewing AWS line items per customer. To create it:
    1. Select all of the data by typing "Ctrl + A".
    2. Next, click on "Insert", then "Pivot Table" and finally "OK"

  3. Once the Pivot Table is created, the next steps will be dependent on whether you pulled a Full Report or a Short Report.
  4. If you pulled a Full Report,
    1. Organize the Pivot Table fields as shown in the picture below: 

    2. Then select only the AWS Accounts in the filter:

  5. If you pulled a Short Report,
    1. Organize the Pivot Table fields as shown in the picture below:

    2. Then select only the AWS Accounts in the filter:


  6. The Pivot Table is now filtered to shown only AWS accounts and ready to be deciphered!
